Donna Shetland Lace Cowl Pattern
PLEASE NOTE: This listing is for a knitting pattern only. Knitted items shown are NOT for sale.
A cosy cowl, knitted in the round, using a selection of traditional Shetland lace patterns with a pretty edging that can be blocked into soft or more dramatic points.
Knitted in a laceweight yarn, there are pattern stitches on the majority of rows but, as it only uses basic lace stitches and is worked in the round, and therefore with the knit side facing, it is suitable for knitters with some experience of lace, or intermediate knitters. The pattern can easily be adapted to make a larger circumference cowl if required.
The cowl is designed to be worked on a circular needle and can be made with approximately 35g (280m) of laceweight yarn. My original sample was knitted in Yak Merino Lace. If you would like some yarn dyed to order for this, please contact me.
The pattern is both charted and written in full.
This pattern is copyright Julie Harris Designs and for personal use only, and may not be copied or distributed without my permission. Knitted items made from this pattern may not be sold or produced commercially.
