Catriona Fair Isle Hat Kit - BFL Wool 4-ply

This cute beanie hat, worked in traditional Fair Isle designs, is an ideal introduction to two-colour knitting and working in the round. It is suitable for those with some experience, and classed as an intermediate design.

The crown decreases in this design are all worked on the single colour rounds, so making it easier for newcomers to Fair Isle patterns.

The colour pattern is worked from a chart. The hat fits an average female head, approx 56cm (22 inches) in diameter.

The kit contains the printed pattern plus one 20g/80m mini-skein in each of two colours (40g/160m in total) of hand painted 100% Blue Faced Leicester Wool 4-ply. 

My samples were knitted in Deep Purple Dreams/Faded Moss, Delphinium Daze/Winter Dawn, and Bitter Chocolate Truffle/Winter Dawn, using 2.75mm and 3.25mm circular and double pointed needles.  Lots of other colourways are available - contact us here if you'd like a custom kit created just for you.
