Linen Viscose Silk Cobweb Lace (1,400m/100g)

A very limited edition where we have just a few skeins available, this is a single ply (1/14nm) cobweb-weight in a blend of 50% Linen, 30% Viscose and 20% Silk, giving 1,400m per 100g. The linen and viscose fibres don't absorb the acid dyes we use, but the silk does, resulting in an interesting slubby, marled effect. Linen and silk are both very strong and drape beautifully, and linen softens with washing and wear, so this should be a lovely yarn for summer accessories. It would also be ideal for weaving.

The yarn came on small cones, so the skein sizes are quite varied.  It would be ideal for either size of Abbey's Shawl, or any of our Shetland Cobweb designs such as Eilidh or Yvaine.
