Blue Faced Leicester Mohair 4-ply

This yarn is ideal for heavier weight lace as well as cables, plus Fair Isle and other colourwork techniques. It gives loft and sheen from both wool and mohair, without being hairy, giving a soft effect with a beautiful natural lustre.  Hand dyed/painted, slightly thicker than standard 4-ply (350m per 100g) in a blend of 70% Blue Faced Leicester Wool, 30% Kid Mohair.  It gives a soft yarn with good stitch definition that takes dye beautifully.

Perfect for shawls and scarves, hats and gloves, or a warm and cosy pair of socks! Two skeins would be perfect for the thicker 4-ply versions of our Highland Heather and Kelly Shawls.
