A pretty crescent-shaped shawl, suitable for knitters with a little experience of lace. The skill level for this design is classified as Intermediate, for those with some experience in knitted lace.
The main body is worked in variations on a diamond pattern, with an edging that can be blocked into neat points. The pattern includes instructions for optional picot edging.
The original was knitted using 3.5mm circular needles. Finished size after blocking 200cm wide by 60cm deep.
The kit includes the printed pattern and a 100g (800m) skein of our hand-painted 75% Extrafine Merino, 20% Silk, 5% Stellina Sparkle Lace yarn, sufficient to make the shawl as written.
The pattern is presented both in chart form and as fully written instructions. The design includes several other versions of the shawl in both laceweight and 4-ply yarns.
