Jessica Lace Scarf Pattern

The Jessica Lace Scarf is a reasonably easy to knit design - suitable for knitters with some experience of lace, the skill level for this design is classed as Intermediate.

It can be made from a single 100g/400m skein of any of our standard 4-ply yarns and is easily adjustable in both width and length (more yarn would be needed for a wider/longer version). It could also be knitted in finer yarns if preferred. The original was knitted in our Falklands Merino Silk 4-ply in Poppy in Pink on 4.00mm needles. Finished measurements after blocking:  20cm (8 inches) wide by 200cm (79 inches) long.

The scarf starts at the centre with a provisional cast on and then works out towards each end - so no grafting of stitches is required. The ends are finished with a beaded edging (beads are optional) and a picot bind off giving a decorative edge (the picot edging is also optional). The original used 122 beads (size 6 Japanese seed beads).
