Designed for a single 100g/400m skein of 4-ply yarn, this small crescent shaped shawl is an ideal introduction to lace knitting, suitable for those with a little experience. Skills required are knit and purl, yarnovers, plus basic increases and decreases.
It features a simple 6-row pattern for the body, with a slightly more complex edging. It’s worked from the top neck down, and the size can easily be adjusted by repeating the body pattern - a larger shawl will require extra yarn.
Dimensions after blocking: 135cm wide around top edge by 44cm deep at longest point, worked with a 4.00mm circular needle.
The kit includes the printed pattern and a 100g (400m) skein of our hand-painted 100% Baby Alpaca 4-ply yarn, sufficient to make the shawl as written.
