Nicole Crochet Shawl Kit - Suri Alpaca Merino Silk Fine Lace

Nicole is a crescent shaped shawl and is worked from the top down. It features a variety of lace patterns, with a combination of solid areas and openwork sections, finishing with a decorative hem edging with optional beading. 

Designed to be quite challenging and interesting to work, the pattern changes throughout the shawl. This design is therefore recommended for experienced crocheters.

The finished measurements after blocking are 134cm (53 inches) wide by 63cm (25 inches) deep, and the original was worked on a 2.5mm crochet hook.

The kit includes the printed pattern and a 100g (1,200m) skein of our hand-painted  50% Baby Suri Alpaca, 30% Extrafine Merino, 20% Silk Fine Lace yarn, sufficient to make the Fine Lace version of the shawl as written.

Beads are not included in the kit. We recommend size 8 Japanese beads - the shawl edging takes approximately 945 beads.

The pattern is presented as fully written instructions with no charts, and also includes instructions for a standard lace version of the shawl.
