Mohair Silk Lace (420m/50g)

Classed as a laceweight due to the length (420m/50g), this yarn is wonderfully soft and fluffy and is normally knitted on larger needles (at least 4.5mm) to allow the halo to be shown to best effect.  72% Superfine Kid Mohair, 28% Mulberry Silk, it is a similar composition to a well-known brand of mohair silk yarn and can be substituted in patterns for that yarn.  It takes dye beautifully and is perfect for scarves, shawls and cowls, as well as garments.

Please note:  we do not usually reskein our yarns after dyeing but we do reskein our Mohair Silk Lace to check that it has not been felted by the dyeing process and to make it easier for you to wind into balls.
